What is Inlay & Onlay?
Inlays & onlays are restorative dental treatments that offer a cosmetically appealing solution to treating your decayed or damaged teeth.
Inlay and Onlay treatments are generally made of original tooth-coloured materials, such as porcelain or composite resin, to form a seamless unity between your natural tooth and the dental restoration.
They can be used to:

What is the difference between Inlays & onlays?
Inlays generally treat smaller areas of decay than onlays. They are usually used when the decay is isolated within the cusp of your teeth.
Onlays, also called partial crowns, are generally used when the dental damage is more extensive, extending beyond one or more cusps.
Inlays & Onlays Procedure
Inlays and onlays are custom-made for a perfect fit and unity with the natural tooth. The procedure for both is the same, requiring two dental visits.
During your first visit, your tooth is prepared for treatment by removing damaged or decayed areas, and also carefully cleaning your tooth.
The colouring of these restorations is determined and their impressions are made of your own tooth. After sending the impressions to our experienced dental lab each inlay or onlay is custom-made for you.
To ensure your comfort between your appointments at VIP Smile Studio, a temporary inlay or onlay is placed at the end of your first visit.
When you come for the second appointment, we remove the temporary inlay or onlay and place the finished restoration.
